In recognition of the professional excellence and career competency, the Institute was entrusted  by the Kerala State AIDS Control Society a comprehensive research for on the HIV/AIDS vulnerability among truckers and internal out migrants in Kerala. The study covered all the districts in Kerala and selected samples from a wide variety of bridge population. The data is submitted to the Project Support Unit of KSACS.

As a responsible social Concern, the Institute in collaboration with the Vengola Gramapanchayath and the Department of Social Work of Jai Bharath College engaged in a massive campaign lasted for a couple of weeks against the spread of Chickun Gunya Fever in the local area.

Projects on the anvil are 1) A Comprehensive Socio-economic survey of the Annamanada Gramapanchayath (Thrissur) in view of generating a data base for resource based planning of the local area. 2) Appraisal of the social programmes of Lions Club International, District (324, E3, Kottayam) with a view to redesign the Clubs service activities for better coverage and efficacy. 3) The institute is also assigned a study of the service users’ perspective analysis of the Manappuram Group of Companies. 4) In the community development arena, the Institute is now on with the Rural Development Blocks of Vazhakkualam and Aluva in the implementation of centrally sponsored and state sponsored development projects.
